Udyog Aadhaar was an easy online registration facility started by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India. The system allowed entrepreneurs to register their business using their Aadhaar number and basic enterprise details through a quick and paperless process. Once registered, the enterprise received a Udyog Aadhaar Number (UAN), which served as an official identity for the MSME. This helped businesses get benefits such as government subsidies, financial assistance, loan support, and access to various MSME schemes. It also improved the credibility of small businesses in the market.
